I see it as a strategic move rather than just selling assets to stay afloat. Ovanti has secured AUD $10.8 million from the partial sale of IDSB, while still retaining a 5.25% stake currently worth around AUD $3.6 million based on the sale price.
That remaining interest is essentially money in the bank and keeps them exposed to future upside. The capital raised can now be used to pursue growth in higher-margin areas like their U.S. BNPL expansion. If executed well, it’s a smart way to unlock value and reposition for long-term growth.
