Despite the current ACCC contemplations I think the timing of the merger is about as good as they could have chosen. I think that pre-Covid and pre - fires in eastern Aust they would have stood even less chance than they do now. However the market seems to have a strong bias towards uncertainty as to the outcome based on todays price movement. Regardless of all that the price really does not reflect the long term potential. ATL are not getting the benefit of post-Covid potential compared with some of the other travel stocks such as Flight Centre and Corporate Travel who had price increases based on post-Covid potential pencilled in earlier this year. I am changing sentiment to hold after some deeper delving.
