I think they need more than just the NZ border to open. They need a return of the normal pattern of international visitors to both Australia and NZ. I am reminded of the preCovid level of ATL's share price when I look at the short term prospects. IMO this will be a long term investment for those who invested in the IPO and expect to get their money back - $1.80+ is a long way away. Trouchet's would not be selling out to THL if things were that rosy. I am hopeful that I will get the majority of my money back if the THL deal proceeds and the effects of the eastern seaboard floods are not too severe. The implications of the Russian war are more than just noise - there are effects relating to oil and gas prices which affect fuel costs, currency exchange rates and other uncertainties which all add up to the average punter making decisions whether they will risk entering parts of Europe. I know some who have changed future travel plans already. There is nothing like uncertainty to make people change their mind.
