I doubt ever a takeover. BCL was only interested in the area they joint ventured with. They have pre-emptive rights over the rest of the land and there's no indication they are interested in anything else apart from the JV area.
At a project level, yes it could be on the cards. Could be next week, next year or next decade. It would be a very opportunistic play on BCL's part if they were to make a play now given that nickel prices are at historical lows (circa 10 years).
Therefore any play for BML would be low ball and I'd think that the board of BML would reject such an offer.
These are just my thoughts, no doubt many will disagree with me.
