The company still stays as a public company. It doesn't become private. One can still trade in shares (if you find someone that's insane to buy them) off market.
The pain continues - I doubt Phua will enlist an administrator (no administrator would take it on as there is nothing in the kitty to pay them) to wind up the company before he ensures that any IP for the exchange is transferred to himself. We would probably have to wait until the Company office de-registers the company for failure to pay the annual fee. We could be looking at years.
But this is a "prudent" plan by Phua I am sure - sorry, had to have one last dig lol.
