To me this is good news because now I know something is happening.
It certainly took the Tax Office a long time in assessing the objections from CFE on this case so therefore it is not cut and dry with them. (May 2012 = almost 2 years) I think that they don't know how to interpret the Tax Law so therefore instead of allowing the Objections and giving CFE all the money back with interest and setting a precedent they have chosen to disallow the objections and let CFE take it to court.
At least we will now have a decision from an independant authority and not some opinion from an ATO official.
What annoys me the most is that it took the ATO this long to come to their decision.
