Agree with @Kelvestor, if TDG no longer interested in the Neuva Esperanza why pay another $C500k.
Unless TDG knows that KCN needs funds urgently to restart their operation, etc thus by extending to 31 Jan 2022 TDG maybe able to renegotiate for a lower price (just think out of the box).
