I think this is a very reasonable statement. I am absolutely stunned at the lack of common sense that was involved in using parts of HIV in the vaccine. I am fine that it is safe, however, millions would not be. It just arms antivaxxers with material. The second it got out that they used part of HIV it would be over. They also knew it was possible that HIV biomarkers would be detected. I am quite stunned at how stupid this was. UQ should be absolutely dragged for this. No issue with CSL btw, nothing to do with them.
