The longer the strike goes on, the worse it is for WOW. The sight of empty shelves will be what's remembered, not whether 'unions asked for too much'.
I had a mate back when I was a student who absolutely hammered out the shifts at the local Woolies, because he was better paid than I was. I worked at a fast food shop, doing similar hours. He got paid more.
Paying for labour isn't just a cost, it reflects in your business' productivity.
