Delays like this are normal in any clinical trial, inclusion/exclusion criteria must be met and obviously they were a bit overzealous with thinking they'd have 138 ready to go by then. Sounds like there may be some changes to primary/secondary endpoints as well. The study may drag on too long with current endpoints and they'll want to get this published sooner rather than later.
