id be extracting net client flows over the last 3 years if I were you. Its the ONLY measure of where this one is heading as that alone is the true compass of how asset managers are performing - clients vote with their $$$$ and here at MFG, it doesnt look good - zero signs of FUM flow stability.
[tip: its been negative each and every month, from massive client mandates pulled early on when FUM >$100bn to the steady -$200m (retail) to -$600m a month in both retail and insto FUM outflows. FUM is <1/3 of what it used to be and still in outflow each and every month from a client flow point of view]
