I truly like your logic, mes., but I think that another aspect has to be considered and that is that, seemingly, the Boosts have made the buds more or less redundant so that the different markets which you describe (earbuds vs headphones for the hearing impaired) very clearly overlap. Where I think NUH management has fallen down is that they do not have a distribution network and marketing effort which aggressively seeks out their target market. Possibly the same problem could be exaccerbated with the Max so, as you point out, NUH must be careful in thinking this matter through!
