Ok so...
From inception Nuheara has been advocating the term "hearables".
The iqbud boost is a "hearable" which provides a function much like a "hearing aid".
the biggest difference between nuheara's boost and a hearing aid is that as a "hearable" it has the abilty to calibrate itself to suit the hearing profile of the user based on a self performed hearing test (which is also used by audiologists). I.e it is self fitting.
It wont replace all hearing aids... it was never intended to... and it cant presently perform any diagnostic evaluation (e.g. detect a tumour) which an audiologist or ENT would be required for, but it still provides a valid cost saving alternative for a specific segment of NHS clients with low to moderate hearing loss.
And now the NHS has acknowledged it should be distinguished for exactly what it is. A self-fitting hearable to improve the hearing experience of sufferers of low to moderate hearing loss.
Honestly do not understand today's reaction... i guess thats why i dont day trade lol.
