With the SA Government Magnetite Strategy due for release, Uranium Asset Expression of interest closing 31st Jan, and Trumps potential Tariffs that could heavily influence the graphite and Lincoln's entry in the federal governments Prospectus, it seems like the urgency to announce good news to keep the share price buoyant ahead of the very impending capital raise is gone..
I can only conclude that a deal with Lincoln is well progressed.

Panasonic has announced diversifying its supply chain away from China as a priority.
Natural Graphite provides higher energy densities, while synthetic provides battery longevity.
Panasonic use a mixture of both in their batteries to get a balance of higher energy densities and longevity.
Mitsubishi Chemicals are also on the lookout and I am sure a lot more have started door knocking

Interesting times ahead.

As for Quantum, One side of their deposit adjoins a national park. Their mining lease restricts the depth that they are allowed to mine and without additional approvals to go deeper their mineable deposit is restricted.
Groundwater is a significant issue. Not so much for the volume of water in the pit, but for how it affects the National Park and farmers water tables. Uley 3 graphite grades look pretty poor. The very extensive drilling program they have planned needs funding, their drilling permit expires soon, and the drilling season ends in April on farmers properties so they can start preparing their crops. If they don't get a move on, they wont be exploration drilling outside of their mining lease until December 25. If they get the loan from EXIM Bank for the USD$300M They will need to acquire graphite quickly to meet their targets. LML would be an obvious takeover target again.
