I may not have prefaced my last post as well as l should have, it was somewhat tongue in cheek. None of us here are assuming to speak for FCT.

Nevertheless, l didn't really appreciate your personal "bully for you" comment as l have been a decade long holder of ALK, back in the very dark days, like a lot of other ASM posters. My CGT reference was an illustrative contrast. It was not intended to be any form of boast, as you have pinned it.

ln any event, the real issue is ASM, it's current cash position, its potential commercial outcomes and its current share price.

On each front, my view at any price below $1.60 is it represents a solid buy, albeit with huge execution risk attached.

The NSW grant should have been a SP boost and today's announced delayed sale of REE should have been inconsequential, but it wasn't.

I can only agree with you that at current prices l am buying very hard.

FWIW, l hold another position that post a substantial CR is trading at a massive 30% discount to the fully underwritten offer price from a month ago.

Circumstances occassionally throw up "opportunities" that make no financial sense, except the sub underwriters must be taking a very serious hit to exit quick or in the case of ASM, retail holders have simply been spooked by the recent price decline on the back of a more serious SP decline over this year.

lnvesting is a very tricky past time, as none of us has a crystal ball. My experience is just to buy when l can see value is not correctly priced in and sell when a narrative is driving the price instead of fundamentals. I never get these inflection points perfectly as l invariably buy too soon and sell too soon.

l hope to release some capital soon to take a really meaningful position in ASM again. Having said that, l absolutely expect l will be 6 months to a year too early, but l know myself and my capacity to stay long if the fundamentals remain in place.

l am not offering advice to anyone, but what happened on ASMs demerger was once in a lifetime stuff and most unlikely to be repeated.

lf any holders have a high entry price, my only thought is to assess whether you are up for the risk and challenge to average down if one can.

l have no predetermined exit price but l expect l won't be here if the SP goes north of $4 as l have learned the hard way with specs, that a profit is not a profit until it is cash.

Just the pre Christmas thoughts of an old investor.

    GLTASH
