PNG gov and people did not want Westpac leaving the South Pacific as it has been there a long time historically that was one of the reason
But can the PNG gov stop China or other foreigner bank buying Westpac rather than leave its local Kina bank an opportunity?
Surely Westpac wanted to sell the business who else suitable to purchase it, absolutely China bank or if a corruption so killing SPB and Kina, let China control PNG economy, may be?
