So, the usual "support mgmt at all costs" acolytes on here posted that this African presentation would be important as it would provide an update on funding etc.
However, continuing the long-established pattern of just kicking the can down the road, there was no such update.
The presentation was virtually a carbon copy of previous ones and even managed to leave out the Corporate Affairs and Comms Manager from the Lindian Management Team and also, again unfortunately, pushed back the production date.
Then, as per previous presentations, to top it off, the ASX made them correct and re-issue it.
So, did this presentation and event sponsorship move the dial?
Not one iota.
Fairly boring presentations from largely unknown mining companies achieve next to nothing (in fact they're a mgmt con job, they just go through the motions...).
Worse still, continuing to use the same tired playbook but expecting different results sums up the management problem here.
I wonder how many massive, Tier One resources there are in the World that are being run and promoted this poorly?
Can anyone think of another monster resource that is as unknown and unloved as Lindian?
Imagine the re-rating we would get if we had appropriate, experienced and dynamic management?
This is so unbelievably undervalued and it's becoming crystal clear that change at the top is required and soon!
