When you consider it, the only reason the gas price is back down here is because a whole bunch of LNG ships loaded with US gas are on their way to Europe. This is the same gas which EU swore blind they wouldn’t buy (because of their poor record of methane leakage etc). This is hardly a long term solution and neither is Nordstream 2. The only real solution is to produce more domestic gas and provide more storage, at least until they have worked out an economically viable alternative.
