One of the great pick ups of the last few days that I think has been some what glossed over due to the SA news was the new mine design shown in the NPV announcement showing the tunnel and shaft going from the mine directly to the plant. See below.

This is probably one of the biggest clues I have seen that shows that EUR is working closely and productively with the local Austrian authorities.

By putting a tunnel and shaft as such, completely removes the need for any mining roads or mining trucks through the mountains.

Ore will be transported underground (most probably by conveyor) and then up the shaft in skips, so it won’t even see daylight until it reaches the plant.

Mine tunnels and shafts are very expensive so this helps explain the - what seemed high - opex costs announced.

I doubt very much this would have been done as the most efficient way to get ore from the mine to the plant, - I am sure it would have been done to remove the need of mining roads and trucks through the mountains….ie… to keep locals happy….ie. to get permits...
