The issue is if you look in the long term Gold always looks to be going up in value as Poster Joelstar highlighted with a link showing gold in contango , ie there is euphoria continually for gold , but gold got to around what it is now in US$ back in 1980 , and looked to be going higher , then over the next year it dropped down about 40% from memory , and look at a long term chart from 1980 to now and it has been a wild ride since then yet we are still at around the price of gold of 1980 despite all the inflation and increased mining costs - go figure .
Seems a self fulfilling prophecy for gold to keep going up in value ----- until it does not , look what has happened to Ni and Li in the last 4 months with those making assumptions .
