Honestly I am surprised that there are critics of the "drill extensively first and mine later" strategy which has really paid off for the likes of BGL and CMM. The gold in the ground isn't going anywhere, and the dilution to shareholders in the meantime is value accretive when the cost of discovery is so low (even with the deep drilling they are still easily getting their moneys worth)
