A bit of light reading.

Embattled sandlewood grower Quintis hasn't traded since May and angry shareholders have just announced a class action alleging it didn't meet its continuous disclosure obligations.
And the hits just keep coming. This financial year, Quintis dropped its sponsorship of West Australian racer Jordan Love. He's since gone on to enjoy a record-breaking season at the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge, winning 10 straight races, and is widely expected to prevail at the Phillip Island finale to take place over the weekend. It usually costs around a quarter of a million to sponsor a GT3 race team, and given its financial difficulties we can understand Quintis figuring this is not the best investment right now. Still, maybe Quintis continues to milk some publicity from Jordan – his website still carries Quintis' logo prominently, and photos from recent races suggest he's yet to rebrand his car, which in August still had Quintis all over the side.
We hope Quintis chairman Dalton Gooding has time to tune in, as he's had a few disasters on his plate recently and could no doubt use a break. Another company he chairs – civil and mining contractor Brierty – was on Wednesday put into administration, a month after its CFO Troy Buswell (yes, the chair sniffing ex-WA treasurer) resigned to take another job.
