Actually I would say they have found a fault, then pretty quickly priced in its impact on profits - they of course will have found the cause and extended that to check out all the other equipment to make sure they don't have the same issue. If this was a blown out issue affecting multiple piece of equipment, they should have already checked the others and known by now - surely releasing updated profit guidance would only come AFTER they have investigated the full impact on profits - can only conclude this fault is limited/isolated to this instance only and probably unlikely to happen to any of the others
