I take your point, I stand to be corrected, but I was under the impression to close out the hedges it had to be done at current spot prices as your are delivering physical gold in the hedge contracts. It seems they were able to close the CY25 hedge book of 47.6k at a gold price of $2310. So if this is the case why would they not have done this last quarter and raise the money to close out the entire CY25 hedge book.
Am i way off the mark with my understanding of deliveries of hedging contracts.
