This should have stated Previously it was floated to do an ammonia leach instead of leaching with sulphic acid (either in tanks which result in higher extractoin rates for similar acid consumption (hence OPEX cost or in a heap leach scenario. There was a company marketing the leaching of copper in Ammonia solutions back in the 2000s/2010 but they disappeared and were unable to get industry acceptance of their technology. I'm sure this is being revisited.
