You don't make lithium hydroxide/carbonate for fun, because you have nothing else better to do.
You make it because you can sell it.
If there's no one to buy it you might as well just keeping spending money on R&D & making a small amount of royalties in selling licencing agreements.
IMO a stable baseline SP of 6 cents is a good 3-5 years away!
