The Japs may, or may not, do anything. It's not that important.

The key is local politics, not the Japs. Roger & Albo don't give a toss about the Japs or anyone else. They are focused on only 1 thing, getting a state Labour government re-elected in WA. Full stop. Albo needs the west to stay in labour's hands, it makes his federal policy agends much easier to roll out, including his massive renewables projects planned for WA. Unfortunately, this means that Roger will need the Green preference vote. And that means sacrificing uranium mining to make the deal work. Same formula as McGowan back in 2017, when Labour won with the support of the green preference vote.

People don't seem to want to accept the brutal reality.

The only thing we have going for us is pressure from:
    1) Minerals Council
    2) WA Chamber of Commerce
    3) WA Trade Unions (jobs)

But, I doubt anything happens before the election. And after the election, well...basically, Roger would have to be willing to stab the Greens in the back?
