Thanks for your insights DGener8, more than happy to be corrected. Out of curiosity, are the bulk of these echos done transthoracically? I would assume so, so perhaps I've overestimated the invasiveness. I'm also assuming you're based in AU, do you know if practice in the US is similar?
I guess the more important aspect as you have pointed out is that LVEF and GLT are poorer indicators of functional capacity according to the presentation.
