Feeding these coastal plants for their 30 year life span is surely going to ensure the price of gas in Australia stays high. It's clear to me that a syn-gas project in out of the way Leigh Creek based on Coal or Oil shale even has merit as does producing from it local UREA feed stock for the Agricultural Market. There is tons of money floating around right now looking for a home so its a fair bet that $2.6B is not a hard ask here.
