Do they actually need much of a backup generator once in production for a few months given reliable grid power and ramp up?

Plant will run up, work through teething issues and maximize flake preservation and minimize contaminates Once in production overproduce initially to create a stockpile, which could be used to fill in gaps to grid power issues. I would not optimize a new plant right to customer needs from the get go, better to have some slack.

Other small producers, especially in the mineral sans area, create a stockpile for plant issues..Physical insurance policy. A few months over time.
