ADT shareholder and mining legend Rick Rule on whether ADT is Tier 1 deposit – (24:45)






Too small at present to be tier 1 deposit

Believes that ultimately the genesis of ADT is related to a volcanic massive sulfide event

Lot of dispute around ADT as to what type of deposit it is

If Rick right, then history teaches us that volcanic massive sulfide deposits occur in clusters and Rick attracted to exploration upside at ADT

Also certaintly attracted to grade and to infrastucture

Attracted to the deposit as it is

As it is, it is a Tier 2 desposit

Rick thinks it has possibility to be Tier 1 deposit

Certainly a Tier 1 deposit, Rick suspects in 2 of his 3 criteria for Tier 1 deposits – return on capital employed and operating costs relative to other competitive deposits worldwide

Whether or not it achieves $10 billion in recoverable mineralisation (Other criteria) at current commodity prices is a different question
