    Apologies, if this has been mentioned elsewhere, but this announcement probably answers why JB made a change of plans and went to Dubai from Singapore.  

    Or may be there's more to be revealed? "FT General is a diversified conglomerate with interests in telecoms and property and which has recently expanded its interests into commodities and metals trading"
