VW rumour that they are paying less than $100 per kWh for their battery packs given they have placed over $40Billion in orders.
    https://electrek.co/2019/09/09/vw-battery-cost-gigafactory-northvolt/

Tesla was rumored to have reached that point last year, and their battery guru also released a paper recently which indicated a changed battery chemistry (including removing/reducing cobalt) with a claimed life that will last for ~1.5m kms (4-5 times what the existing battery pack can do).

Now Upreti may be a smart guy, but to date I have not seen/heard any battery companies (who btw are being deluged with billions in orders) knocking down his door to join them to work at the forefront of this battery technology race.

That blurb from their website is embarrassing; the only thing relevant is the last 2 lines.

MNS has burnt ~$25-30m on this battery adventure over the last 2 years; hopefully investors are telling them what to focus on because any further funds going towards battery factories may as well be flushed down the toilet IMO.
