Won't be Tesla. JZ has made it a point that it will be korean/japanese tier 1 party in the EV/battery supply chain. LG Chem would be nice, but they did just sign offtakes with PLS, GT1, SQM, Compass Minerals and a second offtake agreement with Westfarmers.
We'll have to see what JZ's definition of tier 1 is though.. after some confusion of people thinking ATL is a tier one, I would expect him to know better. Noting that yes, they might be one of the more dominant companies in their respective market (consumer electronics), but not a tier 1 in quality/lithium volume compared to the EV market by any stretch and according to BMI.
Waiting game continues. 2-3 weeks time will be telling when we can see how much further they've progressed with production quantity now that the issues have been sorted.
