Its a settlement so i cannot see LLL going for any cash from FFX. Court action would have to be in Australia where its clear they are seperate entities. So LLL would be thrown out of Court.
No mention of an FFX settlement with their discussions with the Mali Government. Maybe Mali will walk away and just take Morila given FFX cash and the LLL shares can't be touched by Mali as they are Australian assets.
No doubt FFX will allow LLL to take the hit in full?.
My initial take on the settlement is relief providing all remains well after the agreement. The wording leaves some concerns..
Does Mali get to keep the Import duties and taxes already collected? That is costing GF via their ownership share.
You can bet GF were pushing hard for a settlement to put all this behind the project.
No doubt part of the deal is we come under the old law.
At this stage its a relief.
