Yes, it is common for a bank to request that the mining company hedge an amount of their future production.
Not sure what you mean by whether they're good terms for BDR. Are you referring to the gold price at which the hedges will be done? Those prices are estimates and seem low to me given the current spot price and the fact that gold is generally in contango.
Whether the prices they achieve in the hedges are good or bad will ultimately be decided by the spot prices when they close those hedges out.
