Letty said it himself, he wants to buy but not at these levels. If he can convince retail holders (who hold most of the stock) to sell down, it helps his cause.
Stock went 50 bid this morning, even traded 50.5. Trading around 49 again now. I don't get this stock being offered there. The stock was never going much north of 50 whilst the SPP offer was open - why pay 50 plus brokerage when you can just take up your SPP? But to have sellers offered under surprises me.
Hopefully the offer subscribed insto's will take up any shortfall in the SPP.
