    Given that the current method to produce 95% of the world's hydrogen is SMR, Steam Methane Reforming using natural gas as it's feedstock, , a reduction in CO2 is highly unlikely as SMR creates between 10-12 tons of CO2 for every ton of hydrogen produced.
