Which trial? Is it based on final analysis of that/those trial(s)/cohort(s)? Does the opinion/conclusion reflects the (statistical) analysis of the entire data, which also includes covariates analysis? Is your partner a member of the trial team in her or an associated centre? If not, then info is OUTRIGHT UNRELIABLE AND EVEN OUTRIGHT INVALID, and if she us formally associated with the trial(s), why is she telling you this info to then release informally to the public, specially if it is not complete and comprehensive, and hence unreliable, info? I also guess you are not in the field yourself and your reporting may not be an accurate reflection and limited to your underestanding perhaps?

In a nutshell, there is more to this than a lot of us realise. I only go by solid official news released by the company.
