Yes the smart money would have know, but I'm saying I doubt most retail did. Buy the rumour and selling the news usually happens when the news is lacklustre and instos can scare retail out of their shares, driving the price down and accumulating what they can. How can retail investors be disappointed by the news if they didn't expect it?
