The imminent release of Ventitest needs to be viewed in overall perspective.
Firstly it is important to understand that the market for this product is much wider than "just a product for calibrating ventilators".
If you sift back through all the public UCM information releases made over the last few months you get a clearer picture of their sales expectations, which can be summarized as follows:

1. Remember the company turned in a profitable Q4-20 even including costs of developing the VENTITEST and cost of approvals, and prior to any global sales of VENTITEST, and prior to China and US regulatory for BP+ and SpiroSonic.

2. To UCM, Ventitest is much more than just another superior product, soon to be added to its sale-able product range. Management are very well aware of the future applications this product might herald.
3. UCM acknowledges there are a number of ventilator “testers” out there from the major calibration manufacturers – demonstrating to UCM management, there is a market!
Ventitest will compete against other products who use a range of different measurement systems - thermopile, differential pressure and some even turbines as inexpensive “test/calibration” solutions.

4. Ventitest excels as a product in its field for:
a) accuracy - using digital multi-path ultrasonic technology with resolution of ±2.5% - likely top of the accuracy list;
b) there is no impediment to measured flow (unlike many);
c) it is easy to disinfect;
d) it is very adaptable and very easy to "pipe-in"/connect to existing systems;
e) it is portable, simple, rapid to operate and provides user independent outputs;
f) it delivers connectivity to data systems, control systems and the internet.

5. It is a UCM patented technology that can be easily incorporated and licensed in other products. Importantly it can also serve as foundation for more sophisticated calibration products. Uscom are aware of the potential to licence this technology to a wider market.

6. Being Ultrasound is also accurateacross a wide range of flows and is a contiguous technology ie. delivering accuracy across the full range of measurement. Some other measurement techniques vary in sensitivity and accuracy across their range.

So far unmentioned and over-looked is the fact that Ventitest is a true EDGE device in the modern technological meaning of the word. That is: a
primary measurement device capable of delivering an acceptable and accurate digital signal to a network. Thus providing an entry point into enterprise or service provider core networks. The data delivered can then be stored, analysed or fed into AI, or other secondary software as required. Typical applications might be monitoring of equipment in real time - alarm circuits - control signals and many research applications.
