Yes, having to find out these details through the press is very frustrating. Unfortunately this is widespread across the industry, particularly with all the special briefings analysts often get. I don't know why they can't just get a $100 webcam and stream all those briefings. It would also probably help protect the boards as well for the times when they accidentally slip up as was the case with newcrest, 'cause then at least they could argue that it was made public to everyone, rather than just a handful of analysts at a private briefing.
