California mandates roadmap in zero emission cars & light trucks. Bans all ICE car sales by 2035.
EVs sales to be 35% by 2026, 68% by 2030 & 100% by 2035. 19th Oct 2022 California Energy Commission reported 17.7% of all new cars sold in California are ZEVs(Zero Emission Vehicles).
2022 estimate of 1.68m cars sold in California down from 2.09m in 2019. So it needs to double in the next 3 years.

China’s aim of 25% EV sales by 2025 has already been met, 3 years ahead of schedule. NEV sales made up 11.6% of China's overall market in the first nine months of 2022. China now expects EV sales to be 35% by 2025 which looks likely China will again exceed targets.

Why should we think about China wind generation? China built more offshore wind in 2021 than every other country built In 5 years. The city of Chaozhou, in China’s Guangdong province, is going to build an offshore wind farm so large that it is expected to provide more power than all of Norway’s power plants combined. The city intends to start work on the 43.3-gigawatt (GW) offshore wind farm before 2025.

Tesla vehicle deliveries are definitely in S curve territory on a graph. Anyone reporting linear adoption uptake in EV's is plain wrong. I used Q3 figures to estimate Q4 which by several analysts is super conservative. Likely to be an extra 100,000 for the quarter so we will see in the next day or 2 when Tesla reports their figures.

Tesla also reported in December they have the ability to produce 10,000 battery Megapacks per year used in electricity grid storage. Each pack contains 3MWh of Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries (LFP). Although heavier than the NCM811 batteries used in their cars the LFP batteries are safer without the worry of thermal runaway and weight is not an issue.

To equate this into layman's terms 1MWh = 1,000KWh. A model S has a 100KWh battery pack so a 3MWh Megapack has about 30 Model S batteries in terms of quantity. So 30 x 10,000 Megapacks is approx 300,000 Model S packs annually.
CyberTruck has also started production in December.
