I’m not taking any sides here, but you really need to rethink something if you think Uber, Amazon and After Pay are only apps... DOU is only an app. What physical service does the DOU app facilitate? Or virtual services that can’t already be found in dozens of other products. What is compelling people to sign up? What is compelling the average-low income masses to sign up?
Uber - people need transport.
Amazon - where do we start...
After Pay - one more way for people to get the things they can’t afford.
DOU - responsible, finance conscious, support tool... at the moment. That might change depending on what services the app can ultimately facilitate. Putting everything together is a start, but is it enough on its own?
Don’t even try to portray the current offering in the same light as the other multi-billion/trillion dollar tech giants.
