finally, the moment of truth has arrived. My VAH holding will vanish as the red blight it is on my portfolio record. It will now only exist as a CGT loss in my tax records for future set off, so in my view its simply tax paid in advance of crystallised profits which one day will occur. My only issue with this is that I am unlikely to want to sell anything soon but I do have my eye on a few extremely successful holdings with amazing capital growth that I should take profits from before long. thanks VAH a lot, as this sad loss will inspire me to grab cash profits and improve my life a lot where otherwise I may balk at the capital gains tax liability which now will not exist as a hindrance/downside to selling. Every cloud has a silver lining.
