Rio can't be overly happy - received shares just a few weeks ago and they've already almost halved. I hold hope that they carried out their due diligence including a consideration of the risks associated with the finance facility. On the flipside perhaps having large and powerful shareholders like Rio might help us here - personally I wouldn't like to piss off Rio by pulling the plug on a critical finance deal thereby all but destroying their newly acquired shareholding.
