Sorry, not sure I agree.... I might be proven wrong but please consider the variability of renewable power makes it hard for electricity providers to integrate them into the electricity grid. Grids need to be reliable and stable, and continuously balance the supply and demand of electricity.
Installing banks of energy storage batteries into electricity grids means that EVM can easily add energy upon request, even on days when there is no wind and/or sun. IMO, the purpuse of batteries is to store the renewable energy and when it’s needed, it can quickly be released to the grid. This makes the power supply smoother and more predictable.
I don’t think you can ignore supply/demand peaks. Hence, I question if it is superfluous - curious to find out if EVM has made any statements pertaining to energy storage, can’t recall I have seen any comments on this?
