and while I still hope it comes though, I have to accept the real possibility it may not
then after failing to get an alternative the $800 M or so fund I think they should look at a 'pilot' version
the economics of this are extremely strong - something like 11 cents / kwh clean power that is effectively base load
but its very hard to get $800M funded - we all agree on that I think
a $100M version (for instance) may not be as economic
say its 25cents / kwh clean power that is effectively base load - that's still viable
eg Batteries struggle to provide 50c/kwh delivered power (relevant when looking at baseload clean power)
But a $100M version would prove the concept and the next step to $800M version would be a lot easier
