Hi Cara, Clearly these are very hard rocks the Vali well is drilling through in the primary objective which must be chewing up plenty of drill bits requiring numerous bit runs and hence trips in and out of the hole which takes time. If they are only doing 5-6 metres per day then their drill bit selection may be inadequate. Furthermore, let's remember that the wireline logging environment downhole is hostile with very high temperatures which may be causing problems with log quality and hence interpretation of important things such as porosity calculation and gas saturation calculation, if they are indeed logging at the moment, which I'm hoping we are.
You never know (wishful thinking on my part), we may have a thicker than expected gas column in the Patchawara which may require them to deepen total depth; won't hold my breath though.
