    Either you convert them to shares, or they expire and disappear.

    The options give the right, but not obligation to buy that amount of shares at 4.1c. So logically if the share price is over 4.1c you would convert the options to shares - as the give you an entry below market price, or the opportunity to make a quick profit. If the share price remains under 4.1 then it is highly likely that the vast majority will expire worthless.
